Victorious ex-defendants from the original Gunns20 lawsuit gathered on the steps of the Victorian Supreme Court today to celebrate the end of the case and call on Gunns to cease their legal proceedings against 13 people accused of protesting at Gunns Triabunna woodchip mill (‘the Triabunna 13’).

Gunns20 defendants victorious – Gunns to drop case and pay defendants $155,088.00. 29 January 2010

Gunns have agreed to pay $155,088 to defendants to settle the infamous Gunns20 case.

The case was set to go to trial next Tuesday. Instead Gunns capitulated at the eleventh hour agreeing to pay defendants to settle the case.

Neal Funnell and Louise Morris dropped from Gunns20 case. 27 November 2009

At a Directions Hearing in the Victorian Supreme Court today it was announced that the case against Neal Funnell and Louise Morris would be dropped. See Neal and Louise in front of court in attached images.

Four of the remaining defendants in the ‘Gunns 20’ civil case today served notice in the Victorian Supreme Court that they will self represent at the February 2010 trial.

At the Annual General Meeting of Gunns Ltd in Launceston today, a question was asked from the floor as to whether Gunns Ltd were aware of this, and how they think this will affect Gunns’ image nationally and overseas.
