Supporters log on to 'Gunns 20' fight

A web site supporting a group of environmentalists being sued by Tasmanian timber company Gunns has been launched in Hobart

Gunns is seeking nearly $6.5 million in damages from the 20 individuals and groups.

The web site has been set up by supporters of the "Gunns 20" and has information about the defendants and the writ.

One of the defendants, Lou Geraghty, says the group has already received considerable support from the community.

"We're getting plenty of support, there's been people donating money, there's been people just ringing up giving support," he said.

"Saying good on you, you know this is so unfair that you're being sued."
